Those that have heard the stories from the recent DofE practice expeditions will know how much we owe the fantastic staff members that supervised and made all of the adventures possible!  Staff supporting DofE give their time voluntarily and we are deeply grateful to each one of them for supporting our children to achieve the prestigious awards.

What better way to thank the staff for going above and beyond and making DofE possible for our children than by helping them to achieve their goal of expanding access to more Bolingbroke pupils?

We’re excited to hear that the number of pupils completing Bronze and Silver awards this year has doubled. The most recent Silver practice expedition saw over 60 intrepid adventurers set forth over the Surrey Downs carrying all their gear for a 3-day expedition.

Our DofE leaders are not stopping there and have set an ambitious target of having all year 9 pupils complete their Bronze DofE next year!

To enable this increased participation we need to buy more expedition equipment for pupils and the additional staff coming on board to support them.

If we reach our target of £4,000 this school year we can equip future DofE-ers and support crew with 18 more tents and 6 more camping stoves! 👍👍👍
